In mine nine seconds of eternity
I hold no hatred,
but fly light,
with no secrets in my suitcase.
I stand in space,
arms spread out, fists clenched,
a representative
of humanity
sent to church to bow heads
and be solemn.
A moth watches the leaves go skeletal in the blaze.
A sandcastle falling through an hourglass.
I was in the capsule that crashed.
I suffered beneath the broken storeys.
I take the blame for it all.
Furious eternity
swallowed like a sword
in a cloud of choked fire.
